You can catch me Saturday and Sunday at 3204 Kay Street in the North Tillery area of East Austin. There you can find the art of Arthur Simone, one of my favorite artists in Austin. He's been working on a whole slew of new art with a new feel, and I promise you won't be disappointed. Using his same signature primary colors with strong blues and reds, he's take the genre of abstract art and turned it on its head, at once revering it and mocking it.

The energy and movement of his noticeable paint strokes contrasts with the interesting peeks of newspaper clippings from below. The best part of his art though? The price. He hasn't quite figured out how great he his and so still has amazingly reasonable prices and has been working on a lot of smaller pieces especially for the tour this weekend.

The smaller pieces, though still full quality, will have lower price tags so that anybody will be able to take home some local art this weekend. If you've been looking to start collecting local art but didn't know where to start, Arthur Simone is the perfect choice. He's been a staple of the Austin art scene for a few years, won numerous awards and happens to be a pretty funny improv comedian, too. Come see me and his art this weekend!
